This funnel is one that Ben Adkins called genius, you won't want to miss this one. Ben and Tabitha Thomas will be reviewing a Facebook ad and the funnel for the membership site that helps you build your online business, Freedym. Freedym has been called the Netflix of Online Marketing. Selling an online membership is one of the hardest things to do. Because there is so much valuable content inside of a membership it's hard to focus on the benefit of one thing. The key to success is to sell the benefit of one thing, especially if you are selling a membership site that has a lot of things included in it. Most people will sign up for any membership site to get access to one piece of really good content. Once they get one piece of good content and go through it, they then get excited about the other content that can be found inside of a membership and that is what keeps them in the membership.
What you will learn in the video above:
- How Freedym focuses on one specific piece of content in the Facebook Ad
- How they used a look-alike audience to target Ben
- The ingenious way they get you to optin from watching a video
The Ad
This particular ad popped up in Ben's newsfeed because Ben is interested in Online Marketing. The ad caught Ben's attention because of the bold statement at the top, ” Generate 1,000 New Leads for Your Business Within 48 Hours”.
What also drew Ben to this ad is the fact that they have a real person on this ad. You can tell that it is not just some stock photo. But not just any person, one of the World's Top Social Media Expert. The ad also mentions that Joe Soto has a million dollar Digital Marketing agency, which just gives him more credibility.
The Targeting
As you can see above, Ben was targeted mostly because he is similar to their customers. What has happened is, Freedym has uploaded a list into Facebook's custom audiences, of people who have bought into their membership. And they are using that particular set of audiences to build a look-alike audience and that audience includes Ben. He could have also been targeted because he is over the age of 18 and lives in the United States. So the strategy of that is what makes this funnel so great. If you have an email list of your current customers, take that and put it on Facebook, of course, target them with new offers, but also build a look-alike audience and target people that are similar to your group of people.

The Landing Page
When you click on the ad, you end up on this blog looking page that is beautifully done. If you scroll through the page you see that this has been shared, giving it some social proof. And we are taken to this particular article that we clicked on the ad to read about.
But, the greatest thing about this post is, at the top is a video. It's about a 2-minute logo video and it's a great video, we encourage you to go watch it. But what is so interesting is that at about the 1:50 mark it cuts the video. What they have done is taken their membership content and they have cut it down, at a very strategic point, and make sure that in order to watch the full training for free, you have to go to the bottom of the page and opt in.
Once you have opted in, you will be taken to a new page with the full video and to the side of that video, they tell you that Freedym has over 1,000 hours of training, case studies, and tutorials and they give you a Get Instant Access button to get in.
